About the opportunity:

• Ellucian is seeking a talented software developer to join our team. This position will be focused on building SaaS safe extensions to assist in onboarding customers into our SaaS solutions.  This includes transforming legacy integrations and custom code patterns found in customer environments to SaaS safe extensions.
• You will be delivering world-class, customer-focused solutions as part of a leading cloud software company for higher education.

Where you will make an impact:

• Work on an agile development team developing solutions to product roadmap commitments
• Work effectively with the product manager, development team members, and other stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
• Design and implement future-proof Integrations and Extensions to enable customers to migrate into SaaS offerings
• Proactively seek ways to incorporate new & creative ideas and methodologies by keeping abreast of current technologies and tools

Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Skills Required:

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 0 to 2 years of experience in a Software Developer role
• Experience with Python, Java, shell scripts, PL/SQL
• Highly motivated with the capability to quickly learn and work with new technologies in complex technical environments, including a variety of databases, operating systems, and languages
• Display a high-level of initiative and troubleshooting skills in stressful situations
• Keep stakeholders informed of progress toward goals in an agile development environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal – ability to present complex analytics to all audiences both internally and externally

Desired skills(Only PLUS to have):

• Experience with large-scale system development, particularly in a SaaS architecture
• Knowledge of common cloud technology stacks (AWS, Azure)
• Agile development practices
