Job Description:

The Brokerage Manager is responsible for generating and managing successful development and profitable growth in the Life and Medicare Supplement lines of business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Works closely with the recruiting and approval process for new agents and manages the existing agency force
  • Monitors loss ratios and debit balances on a monthly basis
  • Develops competitive intelligence for each state and makes recommendations regarding new or existing products
  • Directs the marketing of Medicare supplement and life insurance in each state to achieve established production and profitability objectives
  • Works closely with the Director of Brokerage Services and the National Life Marketing Manager to communicate the quote activity in the home office to ensure the quotes are being followed up on
  • Communicates to the agency force the company philosophy, company policy and methods of doing business
  • Collaborates with underwriting and service team to ensure service levels are met and communicates regularly with these teams
  • Assists with the training of agents in the field
  • Works closely with investment brokerage company to develop marketing and pricing strategies
  • Continues to explore other methods of distribution for the life only states
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Eligibility Criteria:

What You’ll Need:

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Business, or Insurance related field
  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience

Preferred or Specialized

  • Experience with life insurance, Medicare supplement, and long-term care
  • Previous sales and/or field marketing experience

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) or Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required
